Position: Instrumentation & Automation Technician

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Instrumentation & Automation Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing various instrumentation and automation systems in the oil and gas industry. This is a full-time permanent position with opportunities for growth and advancement.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Install, calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair instrumentation and automation systems, including but not limited to control valves, transmitters, analyzers, and PLCs.
2. Perform preventive maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
3. Diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions in a timely manner.
4. Develop and implement maintenance procedures and schedules.
5. Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to identify and implement process improvements.
6. Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
7. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while working on equipment and in the field.
8. Keep up to date with industry developments and advancements in instrumentation and automation technology.
9. Train and mentor junior technicians as needed.

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent technical degree or certification preferred.
2. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in instrumentation and automation maintenance in the oil and gas industry.
3. Strong knowledge of various instrumentation and automation systems and their components.
4. Familiarity with industry regulations and safety standards.
5. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
6. Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
7. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
8. Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
9. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
10. Willingness to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
11. Valid driver's license and ability to travel to various job sites as needed.
