Data Analyst/Business Intelligence - 11 month contract - ECommerce

Basic qualifications

1. University degree ideally in a technical or analytical discipline.
2. 1-2 years of experience in a data-driven business.
3. Enthusiasm for the world of technology.
4. Strong communication skills and exceptional assertive abilities on all levels, while maintaining your ability to be vocally self-critical.
5. A business-focused way of thinking and a strong hands-on, results-driven mentality.
6. Willingness to roll up sleeves to get it done.
7. Special affinity and demonstrated skill with numbers, analyses, and reports.
8. Excellent knowledge in Excel, and database work, with experience in SQL a plus.
9. A great deal of personal initiative, creativity, decisiveness, and team spirit.

Preferred qualifications

1. Superior analytical abilities and quantitative skills. Comfortable with complex financial data.
2. Polished communication skills - speaking, writing, presenting, and negotiating.
3. High threshold for working in an ambiguous, fast-paced start-up-like environment figuring it out and adapting as you go.
4. Experience in vendor negotiations, pricing and promotion, inventory management, and product development.
5. Comfortable with hands-on management of tasks, and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.
6. Experience in Catalog processes / procurement processes such as placing PO, working on lead time.
7. Proficient in Excel.
