Job description

The Financial Analyst will play a key role in supporting the financial operations of our clients' subsidiaries across the Middle East. This position will assist in ensuring compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and internal reporting timelines. Key responsibilities include preparing and analyzing consolidated financial statements, collaborating on comprehensive monthly reporting packages that encompass critical business functions such as finance, sales, inventory, and cash flow.

The Financial Analyst will develop and maintain dynamic dashboards using Power BI to provide real-time insights into key performance indicators (KPIs). Additionally, this role will assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to track company performance against goals. The Analyst will also support the annual demand planning process in coordination with logistics and sales teams, ensuring data-driven decision-making.

Other responsibilities include reviewing and reconciling customer rebates and staff commissions, assisting in evaluating and improving financial policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance with regional regulatory and tax requirements. The position requires the ability to conduct ad-hoc financial analyses to aid strategic decision-making by senior management.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial statements for three subsidiaries.
  • Contribute to the monthly reporting package encompassing finance, sales, inventory, and cash flow.
  • Develop and maintain interactive dashboards using Power BI to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Support budgeting, financial forecasting, and variance analysis efforts.
  • Review and reconcile customer rebates and staff commissions for accuracy.
  • Assist in evaluating and improving financial policies and procedures.
  • Support the annual demand planning process with logistics and sales teams.
  • Conduct cost analyses and suggest improvements for efficiencies.
  • Ensure compliance with regional regulatory and tax requirements (UAE, Iraq, Morocco).
  • Deliver ad-hoc financial analyses to support strategic decision-making.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Financial Analyst or in a similar role, preferably in a distribution or engineering environment.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and regional regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Power BI for reporting and analysis.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
