A Towing Field Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing towing operations and personnel to ensure efficient and safe vehicle towing and recovery services. This role combines operational leadership, logistical planning, and employee supervision. Below is a typical job description for a Towing Field Superintendent:

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Operations Management:
    • Supervise daily towing operations, ensuring jobs are completed efficiently and on time.
    • Coordinate the deployment of tow trucks and recovery equipment to service calls.
    • Manage and monitor the performance of tow truck drivers and field staff.
  2. Safety and Compliance:
    • Ensure all towing operations comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
    • Maintain and enforce safety standards for towing and recovery activities.
    • Investigate any accidents or incidents and take corrective action as needed.
  3. Customer Service:
    • Ensure high standards of customer service during towing operations.
    • Address and resolve customer complaints and service issues.
    • Maintain relationships with key clients and stakeholders (e.g., law enforcement, insurance companies).
  4. Fleet and Equipment Management:
    • Ensure that all tow trucks and equipment are properly maintained and in good working order.
    • Coordinate vehicle repairs and preventive maintenance schedules.
    • Keep track of inventory and ensure availability of necessary towing tools and parts.
  5. Reporting and Documentation:
    • Maintain accurate records of towing operations, including service logs, job reports, and equipment inspections.
    • Provide regular reports to senior management on operations, performance metrics, and key issues.
    • Manage field paperwork, including service orders, invoices, and compliance documentation.
  6. Logistics and Scheduling:
    • Plan and assign service routes for drivers, optimizing efficiency and response times.
    • Respond to and manage emergency situations, including breakdowns, accidents, and roadside recoveries.
    • Collaborate with dispatchers and customer service representatives to prioritize service requests.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in the towing or automotive industry, preferably in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of towing operations, safety standards, and local regulations.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and make quick, effective decisions in high-pressure situations.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge of vehicles and towing equipment.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in using operational and fleet management software is a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license (UAE DL may be required depending on the company's operations).

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (associate or bachelor’s degree in business management, logistics, or a related field is a plus).
  • 3-5 years of experience in the towing or vehicle recovery industry, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.

Working Conditions:

  • Field-based role with frequent travel to towing sites and company locations.
  • On-call for emergencies and may require working nights, weekends, or holidays.
  • Must be able to work in all weather conditions and handle physically demanding tasks.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED6,000.00 per month
