Job Description
We have an opening for an experienced Accountant at an Oil/Petroleum Refinery in Fujairah, UAE.
The role involves managing financial reporting, budgeting, cost management, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Proven experience with accounting software and MS Excel.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Verify and approve purchase invoices with supporting documents.
- Record invoices in the system for timely payments and follow up on receivables.
- Post journal entries and reconcile transactions in accounting software.
- Ensure the accuracy of all accounting entries.
- Manage cash disbursements and reconcile daily cash transactions.
- Reconcile supplier and debtor statements.
- Calculate and process VAT reports.
- Reconcile stock reports with operations.
- Prepare ageing and outstanding reports.
- Maintain daily bank position reports.
- Handle petty cash expenses and advances.
- Process staff payroll and leave salary calculations.
- Record monthly depreciation and accruals.
- Update KYC information for company banks.
- Monitor company and staff loans.
- Prepare profit & loss and balance sheet reports.
