The Resident Engineer (RE) reports to the Employer and is generally responsible for the day-to-day operation and management of the site supervision works. Under the terms of the contract, the Resident Engineer is considered to be the Engineer's representative and is delegated certain powers by the Engineer. The Resident Engineer is responsible for organizing the site staff to carry out the duties required of them pursuant to the scope of service defined in the consultancy agreement and the contract in order to provide an efficient and effective service to the client.

Key Responsibilities:
Team Management: Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team.
Project Meetings & Communication: Attend or represent in project-related construction meetings.
Monitoring & Reporting: Monitor contractor activities for compliance with technical and contractual obligations. Regularly report on performance and quality standards.
Health & Safety Management: Ensure adherence to Health and Safety Plan and address any safety issues.
Egis Procedures Compliance: Maintain and ensure compliance with Egis procedures likely related to the organization's standards or processes.
Contractor Performance Monitoring: Report on contractor performance specifically quality and adherence to performance indicators.
Review and Approval of Submissions: Approve shop drawings, materials, equipment, mockups, samples, brochures, etc. Responsible for reviewing as-built drawings, warranties, maintenance manuals, and closeout reports.
Dealing with Site Issues: Address delays, bad weather, and emergencies at the construction site.
Coordination & Communication: Coordinate with contractors, owners, and design teams to resolve issues or complaints.
RFI and Queries: Respond to contractors' Requests for Information (RFI) and any queries they raise.
Change Order Administration: Administer and handle change orders.
Inspection of Materials and Equipment: Visit sites for the extraction and fabrication of materials/equipment before delivery to check performance and workmanship.
