Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in the contracting, MEP, and construction industries, with at least 8 years of relevant experience in the Abu Dhabi area. A degree in Mechanical Engineering is required, and candidates with significant practical experience in mechanical engineering within the construction sector will be given preference.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design and Analysis: Develop and review mechanical designs, calculations, and specifications for various projects.
2. Project Management: Oversee and manage mechanical engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
3. Technical Support: Provide technical support and expertise to the engineering and construction teams, including troubleshooting and resolving mechanical issues.
4. Compliance: Ensure all mechanical systems and designs comply with local regulations, industry standards, and best practices.
5. Documentation: Prepare and maintain detailed engineering documents, including reports, drawings, and specifications.
6. Coordination: Work closely with project managers, architects, and other engineering disciplines to ensure integrated and coordinated project delivery.
7. Site Supervision: Conduct site visits to monitor progress, inspect mechanical installations, and ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
8. Vendor Management: Evaluate and select suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
9. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices to enhance project delivery and efficiency.

Qualifications:

1. Experience: Minimum of 8 years of mechanical engineering experience in the contracting, MEP, and construction industries within the Abu Dhabi area.
2. Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required. Candidates with substantial relevant experience will also be considered.
3. Skills: Proficiency in engineering software and tools (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.), strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines, strong leadership and project management skills.
4. Knowledge: In-depth understanding of mechanical systems, industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to mechanical engineering in the construction sector.
