Civil 3D Draftsman – Road Projects

Job description

Position Overview:

Al Sultan Road Contracting & Infrastructure is seeking a skilled Civil 3D Draftsman with experience in road and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in drafting and design, particularly in AutoCAD Civil 3D, and will be responsible for supporting the engineering team by preparing detailed drawings for road, utilities, and other infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Prepare detailed design drawings and plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D for roads, utilities, and infrastructure projects.
2. Perform design tasks such as surface analyses, alignments, grading, volume calculations, and supporting engineering analyses.
3. Develop and maintain Civil 3D component libraries.
4. Collaborate with engineers and team members to ensure accurate and efficient project delivery.
5. Ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and Authority submission requirements in the UAE.
6. Assist with project coordination, quantity take-offs, and cost estimates.
7. Provide technical support to engineers and resolve digital issues in production.
8. Train and support team members in using Civil 3D software.

Essential Requirements:

1. Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and experience in infrastructure design (roads, utilities, etc.).
2. Experience in generating profiles, sections, grading, corridors, and producing documentation compliant with industry standards.
3. Ability to produce accurate and high-quality design documentation for utilities and roads.

Qualifications:

1. Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
2. Minimum 1-2 years of experience in Civil 3D design, preferably in the UAE or GCC.
3. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in drafting.
4. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Desirable Skills:

1. Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D API.
2. Autodesk Certified Professional is a plus.
3. Knowledge of interoperability between various design tools.

Additional Requirements:

1. Ability to relocate to Ajman (Relocation package available if needed).
2. Immediate availability is preferred.
