JOB PURPOSE
• Support Development in identifying initiatives to enhance and improve Aldar’s current information management lifecycle.
• Develop and implement an Aldar Development BIM roadmap in collaboration with development key stakeholders, departments, and industry leaders.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Implement and own the Aldar Organizational Information Requirements as defined within ISO 19650 series of standards.
- Define project specific Project Information Requirements as defined within ISO 19650 series of standards to drive the formation of the Exchange Information Requirements delivered to Aldar Projects.
- Identify, manage and own BIM related risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies and drive solutions to ensure swift closure.
- Manage Aldar BIM benefits management framework demonstrating tangible repeatable value add due to our implementation of BIM.
- Collaborate with procurement, asset management and our product supply chain to develop our digital product/asset library and facilitate its integration throughout the project lifecycle.
- Establish a definitive digital asset and product level of definition based on the principles defined within BS 8541 and BS EN 17412-1 2020 series of standards, that are applicable throughout the project lifecycle.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders within facilities, asset and project management to define and implement a rigid robust suite of Asset Information Requirements and accompanying asset data definition documents.
- Work with Group Digital Services to identify software and hardware requirements that will facilitate and enable our BIM implementation.
- Work with the Centre of Excellence to define and establish our information management lifecycle in accordance with global standardization ISO 19650, BS EN 1192 standards series and industry best practice.
- Support HR in defining the BIM learning and talent development approach to upskill our personnel, teams and departments.
- Maintain awareness of BIM trends, innovations and relevant techniques, technologies and standards in digital design and archiving.
- Demonstrate thought leadership that encourages innovation within building information modelling throughout the industry.
- Conduct and lead assurance and audit activities to maintain Aldar’s compliance to our building information modelling standards, methods and procedures.
- Champion digital innovation and transformation within Development.
RELATED YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
Min of 10+ years of experience in Digital Design Management in a large-scale real estate development.
YOE IN MANAGERIAL POSITION
Min of 2+ years in managerial level.
FIELD OF EXPERIENCE
- Real estate, infrastructure, construction, industrial design, manufacturing.
- Proven track record in the use of DFMA, MMC, Delivery of DFMA change program.
- Experience managing both design teams and BIM modelers.
TECHNICAL AND INTERPERSONAL Skills
- Capable in managing multi-disciplinary skilled teams and personnel both internally and externally.
- Knowledgeable in net zero, carbon neutral, sustainability, and safety principles.
- Knowledgeable in data ecosystems, Building information modelling, virtual reality, augmented reality, mixed reality, non-fungible tokens, GIS, digital twin, generative design, industry 4.0, cognitive technologies and artificial intelligence.
- Demonstrable experience in successfully implementing building information modelling (BIM) to multidisciplinary design and build national and international organizations encompassing the entirety of design, construction, operation, and maintenance.
- Proven capability in technical writing and authoring.
- Extensive knowledge of design authoring, checking, coordination and approval features, functions, and limitations inclusive of, but not limited to, Autodesk Building Suite, Bentley Building Suite, Document/Design/Planning/Project Management Platforms, Cost Management, Procurement, Planning, Facilities Management, Asset Management, quantification, analysis and time schedule simulation.
- Proven effective experience in the definition of streamlined procedural workflows to aid in expediting data exchanges between technologies.
- Working knowledge of BS 1192, PAS 1192, ISO 19650 series of standards, COBie, NRM, Uniformat, Master format, POMI and other information management lifecycle standards, methods and procedures and best practices.
- Demonstrable experience in the configuration, implementation and management of project and corporate based Common Data Environments (CDE).
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
QUALIFICATION
• Bachelor's Degree in Architectural Technologies or equivalent.
