The Propulsion and Space Research Center (PSRC) drives global research and educational empowerment in Propulsion and Beyond Earth Exploration. Through our partnerships with leading global institutions, our research areas include aerodynamics, aircraft propulsion and turbomachinery, space exploration, with a transversal focus on artificial intelligence, disruptive propulsion designs, and sustainability.
PSRC is part of the Technology Innovation Institute (TII), a global scientific research center attracting the world’s foremost scientists and researchers. TII leads worldwide advances in artificial intelligence, autonomous robotics, quantum computing, cryptography and quantum communications, directed energy, secure communication, smart devices, advanced materials, and propulsion and space technologies, and biotechnology fields.
Test Technician
Key Activities / Responsibilities:
- The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and technical integration of Electric and Hybrid Propulsion Systems.
- Conduct thorough testing and validation of UAV/Drone power systems, pointing areas for enhancement and executing necessary modifications.
- Proficiency in various power systems to optimize system structural and electrical performance.
- Track and balance test experience of the propellers.
- Knowledge in power generation and propulsion systems.
- Collaborate closely with the Lead Researcher at the Propulsion and Space Research Center on electrification projects, working in tandem with TII partners, allied centers, and stakeholders.
- Provide expert technical support, fostering a culture of knowledge exchange and skill advancement in VTOL technologies within the team.
- Contribute to the review and creation of technical reports focusing on propulsion system advancements.
