Position Overview

The Operations Manager – USA is responsible for overseeing all domestic transportation activities between American auctions and warehouses, ensuring efficient and effective logistics operations. The role requires leading operational teams, negotiating with transport providers, monitoring performance, and ensuring compliance with company policies.

The position also focuses on cost optimization, utilizing advanced systems such as Central Dispatch and coordinating with American auctions to ensure smooth operations. This role is critical to maintaining high-quality and safety standards, minimizing delays, and enhancing the experience of both customers and business partners.

Job Title: Operations Manager – USA

Location: Nejoum Al-Jazeera Headquarters – Sharjah, UAE

Reporting To: Nejoum Al-Jazeera Auto Shipping – Head Office

Scope of Work: Overseeing all vehicle towing and transportation operations across the United States.

Key Responsibilities

A. Strategic Planning & Operational Execution

• Develop strategies to streamline transportation operations, minimize delays, and reduce costs for vehicle transport in the USA.
• Establish and implement an effective operational plan for domestic transportation between auctions and warehouses in the USA.

B. Domestic Transportation Management

• Oversee all internal transport operations in the USA and ensure timely execution.
• Monitor transportation activities to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
• Negotiate with domestic transport providers to improve cost efficiency and service quality.
• Establish contracts and strategic partnerships with internal transport companies in the USA to ensure uninterrupted operations.
• Utilize advanced transportation management systems like Central Dispatch to enhance tracking and operational performance.

C. Efficient Team Management

• Supervise and manage the Dispatch Team, assign tasks, and ensure daily and monthly vehicle towing targets are met.
• Supervise and manage the Ownership Team, assign tasks, and ensure daily and monthly ownership processing targets are met.
• Supervise and manage the Post Team, assign tasks, and ensure daily and monthly targets are achieved.
• Effectively communicate with drivers across the USA and manage distribution operations flexibly and efficiently.
• Establish clear operational policies and ensure their implementation by the relevant teams.

D. Ownership Processing Supervision

• Oversee and ensure timely vehicle ownership processing.
• Coordinate with partners to secure ownership documents at minimal costs.
• Develop efficient solutions to address any challenges in ownership processing.

E. Continuous Monitoring with High Efficiency & Quality

• Manage and update internal transport data in the company’s system to ensure accuracy.
• Coordinate with American auctions to ensure seamless transport execution.
• Resolve operational issues and challenges related to transportation activities.

F. Compliance & Performance Enhancement

• Develop internal transport policies and ensure compliance across all stakeholders.
• Continuously improve workflow efficiency and suggest enhancements for domestic transport operations.
• Prepare regular performance reports and submit them to senior management for assessment and process improvement.
• Implement safety and security procedures to protect vehicles and employees.

Required Language Proficiency

• Fluency in English is mandatory (native-level proficiency required).
• Proficiency in additional languages such as American English, Spanish, Swedish, or Portuguese is preferred.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics Management, Operations Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in transportation and logistics operations within the United States.
• Proven experience in negotiating and contracting with domestic transport companies in the USA.
• Strong knowledge of working with American auctions and ownership processing.
• Expertise in monitoring and managing domestic transport operations while optimizing operational costs.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively manage teams.
