Early Childhood Teachers

Responsibilities:

• Design, prepare and deliver high quality lessons in the French language to suit the individual needs of all students
• Create a teaching environment that stimulates the learning of French in the classroom
• Attend staff briefing and contribute when needed
• Inspire mixed culture and ability classes, by creating challenging and engaging learning opportunities for all students
• Assess and monitor student progress and provide targets so that all learners can see success and improve
• Collaborate with other teachers to share new ideas, approaches and professional knowledge
• Communicate accurately and regularly with parents
• Liaise with the Head of Early Years and PYP Coordinator to ensure effective delivery of the curriculum to specified classes, including selecting resources and managing them efficiently in the classroom
• Contribute to the extra-curricular activities programme and participate in school activities such as assemblies, evening events, conferences
• Maintain constant awareness of the needs of any children to whom French is another language
• Help with after school clubs and activities

Qualification:

Minimum Qualification Requirement: M.Ed, B.Ed or a relevant Bachelor's Degree with a Teaching Qualification

Experience: 2 Years

Must be western trained (USA, Canada, UK, Scotland, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand & South Africa)

Must be a native speaker of English

Newly Qualified Teachers are NOT considered

Prefer candidates with international experience

Open University qualification(s) are NOT accepted

Experienced teachers with no qualification are NOT accepted

Additional:

• Must be a native speaker of French, with excellent command of English
• Having a Master's is beneficial to your application
• Experience of teaching in the Middle East is beneficial to your application
• If you have experience of working in an Islamic environment / students, it is beneficial for you
• Experience of the IB Curriculum is beneficial
