Job description

Roles and responsibilities

  • Identifying, evaluating, and resolving Electrical Engineering issues during the EPC phase.
  • Review and approve within the specified approval durations, the EPC Contractor key deliverables and other works within the Electrical discipline, ensuring compliance with Electrical design requirements and the Licensors’ PDP’s, which involves the interpretation and review of calculations, specifications, plans, investigations, surveys, structures, system or equipment with relatively few complex features.
  • Review and approve key design documents from Vendors, equipment manufacturers or Subcontractors and prepare comments and recommendations incorporating any comments received from the Owner.
  • Supervise and manage the review and approval of EPC Contractor’s work, ensuring compliance with Owner and Project specifications, relevant codes and standards, and industry best practices.
  • Coordinate the required Engineering participation in the development and analysis of various design options and business models. Contribute input and expertise in the development and analysis of various design options and business models to ensure design optimization and validation for the Owner.
  • Coordinate other discipline Engineer’s participation in layout reviews, design reviews, and technical workshops.
  • Influence Facilities and Equipment design optimization.
  • Provide technical assistance and coordination with other discipline Engineers.

Requirement

  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering
  • Previous experience as PMC Consultant is required
  • Experience of Projects involving Gas Processing plants, Pipelines.
  • Experience in Substations, High Voltage Engineering (220KV) Level.

  4. Regulatory Compliance: Familiarity with electrical codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., NEC, IEC) to ensure compliance in design and implementation.

  5. Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot electrical systems and develop effective solutions to technical challenges.

  6. Collaboration Skills: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, architects, and project managers, to ensure integrated project execution.

  7. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effectively presenting technical information to clients, stakeholders, and team members.

  8. Quality Assurance: Understanding of quality management processes to ensure that electrical systems meet performance and safety standards.

  9. Mentorship and Leadership: Experience mentoring junior engineers and technicians, providing guidance, and fostering a collaborative team environment.

  10. Continuous Improvement: Commitment to staying updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices to promote innovation in electrical engineering solutions.
