Housekeeping Supervisor Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead housekeeping staff, including room attendants, laundry personnel, and public area cleaners.
- Schedule staff shifts and assign daily tasks to ensure efficient operation.
- Conduct training for new hires and ongoing training for existing staff.
- Monitor staff performance, providing feedback and conducting performance reviews.
- Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas to ensure cleanliness and compliance with hotel standards.
- Address and resolve any issues or deficiencies identified during inspections.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations.
- Manage inventory levels of cleaning supplies, linens, and guest amenities.
- Order and replenish supplies as needed, maintaining cost control measures.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of all cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Respond to guest requests and complaints promptly and professionally.
- Coordinate with the front desk and other departments to meet guest needs.
- Ensure guest rooms are prepared and available for check-in according to hotel standards.
- Maintain accurate records of housekeeping activities, including cleaning schedules, inventory, and staff performance.
- Prepare reports on housekeeping operations and submit them to management.
- Assist in budget preparation and cost management for the housekeeping department.
- Identify opportunities for improving housekeeping processes and procedures.
- Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and service quality.
- Stay updated on industry trends and new cleaning technologies.
