EEG Technician

As an EEG Technician, your main responsibility is to perform electroencephalogram tests on patients to help diagnose and treat various neurological disorders. You will be responsible for preparing patients for the procedure, explaining the process to them, and ensuring their comfort throughout the test. Additionally, you will be in charge of properly placing electrodes on the patient's scalp to record brain activity, monitoring the test as it is being conducted, and documenting the results accurately for review by the interpreting physician. The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong background in neuroscience or a related field, be detail-oriented, possess excellent communication skills, and be able to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide the best possible care for patients. Responsibilities

• Perform electroencephalogram (EEG) tests on patients in a clinical setting.

• Provide patient care and support throughout the EEG testing process.
• Stay updated on advancements in EEG technology and techniques to provide high-quality patient care.

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a certificate program in EEG technology or related field.
• Previous experience working in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Certification as an EEG Technician (R.EEG T) through ABRET or similar credentialing organization.
• Strong understanding of EEG equipment, procedures, and data interpretation.
