Job Description: Sales and Business Development Coordinator - Petrochemicals
Position Overview: The Sales and Business Development Coordinator will support the sales team in driving revenue growth and expanding market presence within the petrochemicals sector. This role involves coordinating sales activities, managing client relationships, and assisting in the development of strategic business initiatives.
Candidate should be a Graduate in Logistics with at least 5 years of experience in a reputed Freight forwarding or Vessel Chartering enterprise or any Trading/Manufacturing-Export/Import company with experience in Dangerous Goods handling.
The post entitles the candidate to head the Logistics Functions for the plant and be very well versed in the following functions:
- Vessel Chartering, Dry Container, ISO tanks, Road transport within GCC
- Shore Tanks Lease and Charters
- Customs formalities and border formalities within UAE and GCC
- Well versed with the Shipping industry and Main Shipping Lines and ISO Tank Operators
- Well versed with vessel owners globally carrying petrochemicals and routes and space nominations
- Cross trades in Dry Containers and well versed in switch documents
- Very well versed with BL Formalities and LC terms and conditions for Bulk and FCL Cargoes
- Negotiating and drafting of contracts and fixtures for all of the above roles and professionally representing and managing the groups logistics team members
- Must have experience in Handling Dangerous Goods
Desired Candidate Profile
- Coordinating with the shipping lines, transporters, clearing agents for Custom clearing, related parties and government authorities for Import & export shipments
- Execution of export documentation (pre & post shipment) requirements for shipment from Jebel Ali to destinations especially in Africa, ME, GCC & Europe, which include Letter of Credit shipment, commercial invoice, packing list, etc. Ensure that all documentation meets export regulations
- Preparing documents from Chamber of Commerce and Attestation by Embassy & MOFA. Follow up with customers and shipping lines for Import/Export shipments
- Update the status of each shipment documentation on an excel sheet and submit the report to the reporting manager on a daily basis
- To arrange shipping documents in a timely manner without any discrepancies
- Communicate with concerned parties (supplier and customer) to give shipping advice and share documents in a timely manner
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Scheduling import and export shipment documents - plan weekly
- Submit Shipment Documents Status - daily (excel report)
- Sending export shipping documents to customers in a timely manner
- Communicate with concerned parties (such as supplier & customer) in a timely manner
KEY CHALLENGES:
- Handling 150-200 export documents
- Learning product line to have a well understanding of products
- Broad logistics knowledge required
- Control and follow up shipment for several countries at one time
