Bachelor’s Degree in Relevant Engineering, preferably with an advanced professional degree in HSE Management. IOSH, NEBOSH, OSHA Certifications.
Minimum Experience, Knowledge & Skills
Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in Oil & Gas projects with exposure to various aspects of HSE Management, with a minimum of 5 years (preferred) in the GCC Region.
Must have at least five years of experience in a similar position in mega Oil & Gas or Petrochemical projects.
Manage a team of Specialists, Senior Engineers, and Engineers.
Roles & Responsibilities
Assist with investigating incidents and accidents to ensure the timely production of corrective and preventative action plans.
Responsible for developing and implementing safety protocols, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Responsible for your allocated workload and must meet all targets as agreed with your Line Manager.
Develop and establish systems, procedures, and standards for effective project implementation in line with international best practices, local regulations, and the company’s HSE Policy, philosophy, and requirements for HSE engineering.
Review and approve EPC Contractor’s/Engineering Consultant’s/Study Consultant’s work and ensure compliance with UZ1.2MMBD Project, including project specifications, relevant codes and standards, design philosophy, and best practices.
Review project-specific Risk Management Systems and criteria.
Participate in safety reviews such as PHA, HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, PHSERs, Layout Safety Reviews, 3D HSE Reviews, constructability reviews, safety audits, QRA workshops, etc.
Review deliverables related to Technical Safety (HSE) developed by EPC Contractors/Specialist Study Consultants, etc., including philosophies, data sheets, specifications, layouts, closeout reports, detailed drawings, etc., pertaining to Risk Management Systems, safety systems, safety equipment, and PPE.
