Responsibilities:

• Write development sheets including detailed sketches, garment construction, fabric construction, and trimmings.
• Communicate daily and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure quality products.
• Understand and communicate the latest fashion trends in the industry with specific knowledge of new designers and current runway collections.
• Provide recommendations regarding seasonal themes, edits to line, and new concepts.
• Demonstrate excellent drawing skills, trend awareness, and brand-specific knowledge.
• Have a full understanding of garment design, fabrics, trims, production, and print techniques.
• Work to tight deadlines while being proactive and enthusiastic.
• Work well within a team and maintain strong relationships with Directors, design, production, garment tech, sales, and marketing.
• Handle projects that are a mix of new creative and production work (changes made to existing collateral and brand pieces).
• Shop for and source fabrics and trims, including communicating with fabric mills and trim vendors.
