MEP Store Keeper
Job description
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain an accurate inventory of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) materials and equipment, ensuring that stock levels meet project demands.
- Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely order placement and receipt of materials, reducing project delays.
- Process receipt, issue, transfer through ERP System, and storage of materials at Site Stores.
- Coordinate with site team for material needs.
- Communicate with site/project engineer regarding shortages of tools or other materials.
- Maintain proper documentation of all material movement.
- Track material stock and prepare requested reports for site/project engineer.
- Properly file all inventory and material documents.
- Prepare material requisitions with the site engineer.
- Follow the demobilization procedures for stocks and records.
- Keep track of materials with applicable expiry dates and issue accordingly.
- Follow and adhere to all inventory control procedures.
- Dispose of scrap in accordance with the procedure.
- Notify the site team of daily incoming materials and arrange materials for inspection.
- Ensure chemicals are stored under controlled temperatures and that related MSDS is available.
- Update safety/tool issue cards.
- Conduct regular audits of inventory, identifying discrepancies and taking corrective actions as necessary to ensure accuracy.
- Implement a systematic storage process for MEP items, optimizing space and ensuring easy access to frequently used materials.
- Prepare and manage detailed reports on stock levels, usage trends, and future needs to aid in budgeting and forecasting.
- Train and supervise junior store staff, fostering a culture of efficiency and accuracy within store operations.
Desired Candidate Profile:
- Experience: Min: 8-10 Years
- Must be in UAE.
- Full knowledge of MEP Materials.
- Must have prior experience of using ERP system for Storekeeping.
