Black & Grey HR is hiring on behalf of a renowned University in the UAE. Our client is seeking an experienced Laboratory Technician to join their dynamic team. This role involves supporting the day-to-day operations of the university's laboratories, ensuring they are running smoothly and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and maintain laboratory equipment, chemicals, and materials required for experiments and research activities.
Assist faculty researchers and students in setting up and conducting experiments and tests.
Ensure the proper disposal of hazardous waste and maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment.
Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate maintenance and repairs as needed.
Monitor inventory and order laboratory supplies to maintain adequate stock.
Follow and enforce all laboratory safety protocols and regulations.
Assist in the preparation of reports and documentation for laboratory experiments.
Calibrate, test, and maintain instruments to ensure accurate readings and results.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree or diploma in Laboratory Technology, Chemistry, Biology, or related fields.
Proven experience as a Laboratory Technician, preferably within an academic or research environment.
Strong understanding of laboratory equipment, procedures, and safety protocols.
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with faculty and students.
Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in using laboratory management software is a plus.
