Job Description
- Develop and implement the overall operational strategy for the department, aligning with the organisation's strategic objectives and vision.
- Oversee the efficient allocation and utilisation of resources (financial, human, and technological) to maximise operational effectiveness.
- Continuously monitor and analyse operational performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing data-driven solutions.
- Drive operational efficiency and cost optimisation initiatives, streamlining processes and eliminating redundancies.
- Manage key relationships with complex, executive stakeholders within government entities, ensuring clear communication and collaborative partnerships.
- Develop and implement robust risk management and business continuity plans to mitigate potential disruptions to service delivery.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the operations team.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the operations team, fostering a high-performing and collaborative work environment.
- Report regularly to senior management on operational performance, providing insights and recommendations for strategic decision-making.
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
- Extensive experience (10+ years) in leading operations within a critical government organisation or a large, complex business in any field.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex operations, optimising processes, and delivering measurable results.
- Strong leadership, team management, and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with executive-level stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address operational challenges effectively.
- Strong financial management skills, with experience in budget development and resource allocation.
- Experience working within a government environment is highly desirable.
- Fluency in Arabic and English is essential.
