Job Description

  • Lead and manage the credit control team, ensuring efficient debt collection processes that align with company policies.
  • Analyze credit risk and assess customer creditworthiness through detailed financial reviews and credit scoring.
  • Develop and implement effective credit control strategies that optimize cash flow and minimize bad debt.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to collections and outstanding debt.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to facilitate timely payments and resolve payment issues.
  • Conduct regular reviews of customer accounts to identify potential risks and take proactive measures to mitigate them.
  • Collaborate with sales and finance teams to ensure alignment on credit terms and conditions.
  • Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on credit control performance and strategic initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies while managing credit processes.
  • Train and mentor team members to enhance their skills in credit management and customer relations.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; a master's degree is a plus.
  • Professional certifications such as Credit Management Certification (CMC) or Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) are preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience in credit control or accounts receivable management.
  • Experience in the FMCG/food sector, showcasing familiarity with industry-specific credit practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, such as SAP or Oracle, to streamline credit processes.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and assess credit risks effectively.
  • Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills to manage customer relationships and payment disputes.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on process improvement and operational efficiency.
  • Fluency in English & Arabic to communicate effectively with diverse customer bases.
  • A proactive mindset with a strong sense of accountability and the ability to work independently.
