The Design Lead Architect for Hospitality Projects will head the team of Architects, Junior Architects, and Draftsmen to ensure successful project delivery within the hospitality sector.
JOB SPECIFIC ROLE
Serve as the primary resource for architectural design solutions in hospitality projects.
Ensure compliance with hospitality project requirements, including building regulations, ADA guidelines, zoning, and all applicable standards.
Provide optimal design solutions to mitigate and resolve design coordination issues among various design disciplines.
Enforce general design procedures throughout the design process.
Stay abreast of the latest design requirements, NOCs, sustainability, and environmental regulations, communicating these effectively to the team.
Oversee quality assurance and quality control of production documentation.
Review drawings to ensure compliance with authority design guidelines, regulations, and master developer design criteria (DCR).
Periodically assess project design progress with Design Managers and the Head of Department (HOD) to ensure adherence to initially approved design directions.
Modify existing designs based on management direction and feedback.
Manage and track project changes and adjustments while coordinating with all stakeholders involved.
Provide guidance and support to junior team members throughout work processes.
Attend meetings with external consultants, contractors, suppliers, and authorities as necessary to facilitate project execution.
QUALIFICATIONS
Educational Qualification: Bachelor's/Master's degree in Architecture; MS in Design/Architecture preferred.
License: Licensed Architect/Engineer as per Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ).
Experience: Minimum of 10 years and a maximum of 15 years.
Industries: Experience in hospitality, retail, public spaces, mixed-use, and commercial infrastructures.
Role-Specific Qualifications and Training:
Ability to design in compliance with authority and client briefs.
Demonstrated track record in delivering large real estate developments, specifically premium mixed-use complexes and hospitality projects.
Proficiency in time management and excellent leadership skills.
In-depth knowledge of design/construction sequences and awareness of the constructability of the design.
Familiarity with relevant building codes such as IBC, DM Codes, NFPA, UDC, and any other pertinent legislation.
Required to have worked with a minimum of 3 hospitality brands and successfully handled/delivered at least 3 luxury 4-5 star hotel projects from design through to handover.
Must possess in-depth knowledge of hotel operations.
BIM Experience: Proficiency in BIM software such as Revit is highly preferred.
Creative and methodical approach with excellent attention to detail.

Excellent management capabilities and a proven ability to collaborate effectively as a team player.
