The Role The Project Engineer will play a key role in planning, executing, and managing engineering projects, ensuring the process completion according to schedule and quality requirements. Reporting to the Project Manager / Ops Manager, the Project Engineer will provide technical expertise, coordinate project activities, and oversee project deliverables to meet client expectations and business objectives.
Define project scope, objectives, and requirements with stakeholders. Develop plans, schedules, and budgets. Align with teams and lead the site team.
Coordinate Architectural, Structural, and MEP drawings. Raise Technical Queries (TQ) and Requests for Information (RFI) for discrepancies. Use only Fit for Construction drawings.
Prepare and submit shop drawings and samples on time. Follow up for approval. Monitor and note subcontractor performance.
Ensure HSE Officer prepares and explains Tool Box Talks before activities.
Provide technical support for design engineering and documentation. Review designs for accuracy and compliance.
Allocate resources (personnel, equipment, materials) to meet objectives within budget and schedule. Coordinate procurement and contracts.
Implement quality assurance to meet standards and client expectations.
Conduct inspections and tests to ensure compliance. Document the project thoroughly.
Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies. Monitor and address risks proactively.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Conduct safety inspections and risk assessments.
Monitor project progress and milestones. Provide regular updates and reports.
Serve as the client contact. Address inquiries, resolve issues, and manage expectations. Build strong relationships.
Monitor compliance with Construction Codes and performance standards. Report quality issues to the Project Manager.
Act as the technical adviser for subcontractors and operatives onsite.
Review and correct Labour Supply and Subcontractor bills. Countersign and forward them to Project Managers.
Requirements
Should have 5-8 years of experience in UAE.
Masters in project management.
Strong technical expertise in engineering principles, practices, managing sites, and methodologies relevant to the project scope and industry sector.
Excellent project management skills with the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks, resources, and activities to achieve project objectives.
Proficiency in project management software, engineering design tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements, codes, standards, and best practices applicable to the project scope and industry sector.
