SUMMARY:

The physical security operations team is the primary interface with all clients, ensuring that client needs and expectations are met with high quality, industry standard programs and services. Oracle is looking for a senior security professional to join our team. This position will be responsible for the leadership and development of teams, products, and services within the Global Physical Security (GPS) operations line of business, with specialized functional expertise in data center operational security, guard force management, crisis management programs, risk assessments, incident response, and investigations. The qualified candidate will report directly to the Director, Global Data Center Security Operations based in the USA. This is a new position with a remit for the Middle East and Southern Africa. Periodic regional and global travel will be required. This is an individual contributor (IC) role with oversight of contracted security staff across their portfolio.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Provide regional operational direction and oversight for the GPS strategic initiatives related to the data center operational security program. These include but are not limited to:

• Security guard force management at both internal and external data center locations.
• Partnership with Oracle Lines of Business and external audit regulatory bodies to ensure physical security compliance with diverse auditory requirements including but not limited to SSAE 18, ISO, and PCI.
• Crisis Management.
• Customer Service - providing quality advice to Oracle employees on all aspects of Physical Security as it applies to data center security.

• Maintain recognized industry standard physical security best practices by ensuring a positive, professional environment in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Prepare and manage the regional data center security operations program budget.
• Perform additional functions as directed by the Director GPS Global Data Center Security Operations to achieve assigned business objectives.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum of 10 years of industrial security experience, with at least 7 years in senior management and leadership roles ideally within a physical security/data center operational environment.
• Strong understanding of industry-specific legislation and compliance requirements as they apply to physical security operations and data center security.
• Experience in crisis management at the corporate level.
• Working knowledge of various security technology resources including access control/CCTV systems. Proficient with Microsoft computer software programs and communications techniques.
• Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats at all levels, including Corporate Executive leadership.
• Team player with global exposure to working with individuals from diverse cultures and backgrounds.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY:

• The Snr Manager, Data Center Security Operations for the Middle East and Southern Africa will have a regional scope of responsibility.
• High decision impact with minimal direct supervision. This is a Snr Manager level position with significant operational impact on the business function.

PROCESSES AND METHODOLOGY:

This position will develop regional operational strategy, lead collaborative teams, and resources to successful performance. Conduct analysis of business needs and identify required programs and services.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

• Experience in the above essential functions is mandatory.
• BS/BA Degree desirable but not mandatory.
• Industry certifications are preferred but not required.
