Procurement Officer - Qeyas General Contracting
Job description
Our company is looking for a skilled Procurement Officer to join our dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the procurement process from requisition to delivery of materials, equipment, and services.
- Source, negotiate, and manage suppliers and vendors to ensure the best pricing and quality.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and contractors.
- Ensure compliance with the company’s procurement policies and industry regulations.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and other departments to forecast material needs.
- Monitor inventory levels and manage stock efficiently to avoid delays.
- Conduct regular market research to identify new suppliers, trends, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Prepare and maintain detailed procurement reports and documentation.
- Handle any procurement-related issues and resolve them in a timely manner.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in procurement in UAE, preferably in the construction industry.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build lasting relationships with vendors.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Familiarity with procurement software and inventory management systems.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and industry standards related to procurement in the construction sector.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Speaks English fluently. Arabic, Hindi, & Urdu is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in managing large-scale construction projects.
- Knowledge of local construction material markets.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED 3000.00 - AED 5000.00 per month
