With our team of in-house facade designers and engineers, along with the expertise of our selected global partners, we are able to engage with architects, consultants, and developers to provide solutions in accordance with design requirements, instead of adjusting the requirements based on the availability and technical limitations of the local market.

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Logistics Foreman.

A Logistics Foreman plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of construction site activities related to material handling, transportation, equipment management, and overall site coordination. They act as a link between the project management team, labor force, and suppliers to ensure that materials and equipment are delivered, stored, and distributed in a timely and efficient manner.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Material and Equipment Management
  • Receiving and Storing Materials: Oversee the proper delivery, unloading, and storage of materials and equipment on-site. Ensure that materials are stored safely, securely, and are easily accessible when needed.
  • Inventory Control: Maintain accurate records of inventory, including materials and tools. Track usage to avoid shortages and minimize excess inventory.
  • Managing Equipment: Ensure that construction equipment is available and in good working order. Coordinate equipment deliveries and pickups.
  • Transportation and Delivery Coordination
    • Scheduling Deliveries: Coordinate the delivery schedules of materials and equipment to ensure that items arrive on time and in the correct quantities.
    • Managing Site Access: Ensure the smooth flow of traffic on-site, including managing entry and exit points for trucks, vendors, and other delivery vehicles.
    • Logistics Planning: Develop and oversee logistics plans to ensure that all materials and equipment are delivered at the right time and in the correct sequence to avoid delays.
  • Site Organization and Layout
    • Site Setup: Assist in setting up the construction site layout to facilitate smooth material flow, equipment access, and safe working conditions.
    • Storage Solutions: Plan and implement efficient storage methods for tools, materials, and equipment to reduce delays and improve site safety.
    • Safety and Compliance: Ensure that all site operations related to logistics are in compliance with safety regulations and guidelines, such as proper material stacking and clear pathways.
  • Coordination with Contractors and Teams
    • Communication with Project Managers: Work closely with the project manager, superintendent, and other stakeholders to ensure that logistics operations align with the project timeline and budget.
    • Team Coordination: Supervise the logistics team (e.g., material handlers, laborers) and provide guidance on handling, storing, and transporting materials.
    • Supplier Liaison: Act as the point of contact for suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors, coordinating material deliveries and addressing any issues with procurement.
  • Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting
    • Addressing Delays: Respond quickly to issues that may cause delays in material delivery, equipment failure, or labor shortages. Implement solutions to minimize disruptions to the construction schedule.
    • Conflict Resolution: Resolve disputes or issues regarding material discrepancies, delivery schedules, or equipment availability.
  • Safety Management
    • Enforcing Safety Protocols: Ensure that all logistics operations comply with safety regulations, such as proper handling of hazardous materials, safe lifting practices, and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
    • Site Safety Inspections: Perform regular safety inspections of the logistics areas, including storage zones and delivery routes, to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
    • Training: Provide safety training to the logistics team, ensuring that all workers are aware of and follow the site's safety guidelines.
  • Documentation and Reporting
    • Logistical Reporting: Maintain accurate records of deliveries, equipment usage, material orders, and inventory. Report any discrepancies or issues to the project manager or procurement team.
    • Daily Logs: Keep daily logs of logistics activities, including labor hours, materials moved, and equipment used, for project tracking and reporting purposes.
    • Incident Reporting: Document and report any incidents, accidents, or near misses related to logistics operations.
  • Scheduling and Time Management
    • Time Management: Ensure that all logistics operations are carried out efficiently, with the goal of minimizing downtime on the construction site.
    • Schedule Coordination: Develop and maintain logistics schedules in coordination with the construction project's overall timeline. Ensure that all team members are aware of deadlines and priorities.
  • Cost Control and Budgeting
    • Material Procurement: Help ensure that materials are procured at the best possible price, while maintaining quality standards and on-time delivery.
    • Cost Efficiency: Monitor logistics costs, including transportation, storage, and handling, and implement strategies to reduce expenses without compromising the quality or safety of the construction process.
  • Environmental Considerations
    • Waste Management: Oversee the management and disposal of waste materials, ensuring that they are removed promptly and disposed of according to environmental regulations.
    • Sustainability Practices: Implement sustainable logistics practices, such as reducing material waste, recycling materials, and optimizing delivery routes to reduce fuel consumption.

    Key Skills and Qualifications

    • Experience: Several years of experience in construction logistics, warehousing, or material handling.
    • Leadership: Strong supervisory skills to manage and direct logistics teams effectively.
    • Problem-Solving: Ability to quickly address and resolve logistics challenges.
    • Communication: Strong communication skills to interact with vendors, suppliers, workers, and management.
    • Safety Awareness: In-depth knowledge of construction site safety protocols and regulations.
    • Organizational Skills: Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and ensure that logistics activities align with the overall project schedule.
