As the Director of Project Management, you will play a key role in shaping the successful delivery of multiple high-profile architectural projects, fostering collaboration, and ensuring alignment with client objectives.

Role Overview:
The Director of Project Management will be responsible for leading and mentoring the project management team, overseeing the planning, design, and execution of architectural projects. You will manage client relationships, budgets, timelines, and resources, ensuring the seamless delivery of projects while maintaining the highest standards of quality and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Leadership and Team Development:
    Lead, mentor, and develop the project management team to ensure high performance and continuous professional growth.
    Establish clear roles, responsibilities, and performance expectations for the project management staff.
    Foster a collaborative, positive, and supportive work culture within the team and across departments (design, construction, administration).
  2. Project Oversight and Execution:
    Oversee the planning, design, and execution of multiple architectural projects, ensuring they align with client objectives, budget, and schedule.
    Establish and manage project timelines, milestones, and deliverables, proactively identifying and mitigating risks.
    Ensure the timely completion of projects, effectively managing resources to meet deadlines and budget constraints.
  3. Client Relations and Communication:
    Act as the main point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring effective communication and a clear understanding of client needs.
    Manage client expectations, address concerns promptly, and build strong, long-term client relationships.
    Collaborate with clients to define project scope, budget, and requirements, ensuring alignment with their vision and goals.
  4. Budget and Financial Management:
    Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring efficient resource allocation and cost control.
    Review and approve project invoices, ensuring financial accountability across all projects.
    Identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality or project scope.
  5. Risk Management and Problem Resolution:
    Proactively identify and manage project risks, ensuring appropriate mitigation strategies are in place.
    Address and resolve issues related to project timelines, scope, or costs, ensuring smooth project delivery.
  6. Compliance and Industry Standards:
    Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, codes, and industry standards throughout all projects.
    Implement best practices in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) to ensure consistency and efficiency.
  7. Process Improvement and Systems Implementation:
    Develop and refine project management processes, ensuring efficiency and consistency across all projects.
    Implement tools and systems to improve project tracking, reporting, and communication, ensuring effective project management.
  8. Collaboration and Coordination:
    Coordinate with design, engineering, and construction teams to ensure smooth project execution.
    Facilitate collaboration between different stakeholders, ensuring project objectives are met and potential conflicts are resolved.

Qualifications and Experience:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree or PMP certification is a plus.
  2. Minimum 10 years of experience in project management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within an architectural or construction firm.
  3. Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.), industry regulations, and best practices.
  4. Proven experience managing high-budget, complex architectural projects from inception to completion.
  5. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage and inspire diverse teams.
  6. Ability to work effectively under pressure, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
  7. Strong financial acumen, with experience in budget management, cost control, and financial reporting.
