Job description

The cleaning staff is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of the building by performing a variety of cleaning tasks including floor care, dusting, sanitizing, and waste management. This position ensures that all areas are clean, organized, and well-maintained to provide a safe and pleasant environment for staff and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Floor Care: Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors of various types to ensure cleanliness and safety.
  • Dusting and Cleaning: Dust ceilings, light fittings, countertops, and other furniture to maintain cleanliness and prevent dust build-up.
  • Sanitization: Scrub and sanitize toilets, sinks, and kitchen fixtures to ensure hygiene standards are met.
  • Waste Management: Empty trash cans regularly to ensure a clean and tidy environment.
  • Window Cleaning: Wash and dry windows to ensure clear visibility and cleanliness.
  • Product Inventory: Liaise with the line manager to ensure that cleaning products and supplies are always available.
  • Reporting Issues: Report any breakages or damages that occur during the cleaning process.
  • Maintenance Requests: Inform the line manager of repairs needed to maintain the cleanliness and safety of the premises.

Skills and Requirements:

  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving items.
  • Attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning equipment and supplies.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
