Education Psychologist - SAKINA - Al ain Region

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to identify learning, behavioral, and emotional issues in children and adolescents.
2. Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and intervention strategies to support patients’ educational and developmental needs.
3. Collaborate with medical professionals, educators, and families to create a supportive and inclusive environment for patients.
4. Provide counseling and therapeutic services to patients and their families to address educational and psychological concerns.
5. Conduct workshops and training sessions for hospital staff, educators, and parents on topics related to educational psychology and child development.
6. Stay updated with the latest research and developments in educational psychology and apply evidence-based practices in clinical settings.
7. Maintain accurate and confidential patient records and documentation in compliance with hospital policies and regulations.
8. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case conferences to discuss patient progress and treatment plans.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Master’s or Doctoral degree in Educational Psychology or a related field.
2. Valid licensure or certification as an Educational Psychologist.
3. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in educational psychology, preferably in a clinical or hospital setting.
4. Strong knowledge of psychological assessment tools and techniques.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
7. Proficiency in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.

The hospital serves as an academic medical centre, in collaboration with the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at UAE University. Furthermore, the hospital also provides medical residency training programs for Internal Medicine, Obstetrics & Gynaecology and Behavioural Sciences.
