Job description

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and organized Accountant to join our team in Ajman. Only candidates with a degree in accounting and experience in accounting and finance within the retail, online, or real estate sectors will be highly considered.

Responsibilities:

  • Accounting & Financial Reporting: Oversee day-to-day accounting activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end closings, ensuring compliance with UAE financial regulations.
  • Data Entry & Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of transactions, invoices, and other documentation using office software.
  • Financial Statements: Prepare financial statements, balance sheets, and income statements in compliance with UAE law.
  • Financial Management: Utilize experience in finance and bookkeeping for accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, and other bookkeeping duties.
  • Employee Government Transactions: Handle government transactions related to employees, including visa processing, work permits, and coordination of payroll to ensure compliance with UAE labor laws.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with UAE VAT, corporate tax, and other regulatory requirements, including VAT reporting and tax filings for corporate and real estate assets.

Requirements:

  • Education & Experience: Degree in Accounting with proven experience in accounting and finance (2-3 years minimum) in the manufacturing, retail, or real estate industry. A finance and bookkeeping background is mandatory.
  • Languages: Fluent in English (written and verbal).
  • Real Estate Knowledge: Experience in handling government transactions related to real estate, including documentation and processes for leasing and rentals.
  • Knowledge of UAE Regulations: Familiarity with UAE VAT, corporate tax, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Employee Government Transactions: Experience with visa processing, payroll, and other employee-related government transactions in compliance with UAE regulations.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organization, multitasking ability, and attention to detail.
  • Computer Proficiency: Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with office equipment.
  • Problem-Solving: Proactive, solution-oriented approach to resolving issues.
  • Team Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and handle tasks with a sense of urgency.
  • Location Requirement: Must be based in Ajman or willing to relocate.

Salary: AED 2,200 - AED 2,500 + accommodation.
