Risk Manager – Petrochemical

This international contractor requires a Risk Manager to join the team in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will manage, supervise and implement corporate and project requirements of Risk Management.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Development and implementation of RM documentation at both Corporate and Project levels.
2. Identify Strategic, Operational, Financial, and Management Risks.
3. Develop and maintain Business Risk Register.
4. Support Management of Risk Business at Company and Project Level.
5. Assess and analyse Risk Tolerance and Operational Risk "appetite".
6. Facilitation to support, identification of Opportunities and Threats.
7. Maintain Risk and Opportunities statistics.
8. Monitor and report on Risk Management system effectiveness at both Corporate and Projects level.
9. Manage Risk Management training.
10. Attend meetings (internal and external) and input information.
11. Provide solutions to Risk, Opportunities and Threats problems.
12. Provide confidence and assurance to customers on Risk related issues.
13. Establish and implement an effective and integrated system of Risk Management procedures, processes and guidance documents training.
14. Establish and deliver an effective Commercial Risk Reporting System.
15. Development of Project Claim and "Scenario" programmes.
16. Development of Corporate KPI (Business Risk) models.
17. Development and implementation of an integrated electronic business Management System.
18. Establish and implement staff Risk awareness programmes and workshops.

Minimum Requirements:

1. BSc in an Engineering related subject, or Quantity Surveying.
2. Certified Risk Manager (IRM Registered Risk Practitioner (ALARM)).
3. Member of a professional institute (Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors, or Institute of Value Management).
4. Expertise in the Petrochemical sector.
