PMC Lead Package Equipment Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Participates as a team member in a specific phase of a broad engineering assignment.
2. Directs preparation of appropriate documentation for assigned projects.
3. Ensures successful completion of the assigned project/phase within the budgeted time and cost constraints.
4. Participates in defining engineering approaches, and in planning and scheduling work.
5. Evaluates problems, organizes investigations and establishes general performance specifications for components, equipment, systems, processes, etc.
6. Checks engineering calculations and drawings in accordance with industry codes and standards; assists with the development of less senior technical professionals.
7. Adheres to and complies with relevant discipline specific procedures and provides feedback for continuous improvement.
8. Participates in audits and incident investigations as required.
9. Performs complex engineering tasks related to specific units of major projects.
10. Participates in site visits, project review meetings, design reviews and other workshops as required; organizes and actively participates in design reviews.

1. Solves problems requiring development of new approaches or new uses for existing approaches; exercises mature professional judgment in evaluating and selecting technical strategic options.
2. Modifies established guidelines as necessary, devises new approaches, applies existing criteria in new ways and draws conclusions from comparative situations.

Supporting and Supervising task delegation to team:

1. May supervise a small work group consisting of technical/professional staff with some coaching from own supervisor, or may provide advice and guidance in area of specialization to others.
2. Assists in performing managerial tasks as requested, such as assigning tasks to engineers; planning and coordinating portions of the engineering work; preparing scopes, schedules, and budgets; attending project meetings; and developing lesser-experienced technical professionals.
3. Discusses with other senior engineers to agree on priorities and implications on the work of others.
4. Approves work schedules and makes recommendations for increased resources and special equipment.
5. Makes commitments on acceptance of projects, completion dates, resources, and staff required to meet goals.
6. Coordinates the activities of engineering and design groups assigned to small projects.
7. Participates in developing deadlines, projects, and work to be done.
8. May manage one or more small projects, with responsibility for cost, schedule, resource allocation, and risk.
9. Provides appropriate HSSE leadership including compliance with site and office safety requirements and technical/design safety requirements.

Expected:

1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent in appropriate engineering subject.
2. Minimum 15 years' experience in the oil and gas industry, majority in onshore downstream projects.
3. Preferably with ADNOC PMC project experience.
4. Able to work with other disciplines to meet delivery dates and design targets.
