Assistant Quality Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Manager to join our team for the BP_ROO Project in Abu Dhabi. As the Quality Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that all aspects of the project meet the highest standards of quality and compliance.
Key Responsibilities

1. Develop and implement quality management strategies and plans for all phases of the Feed Design EPCM project, with key focus areas around Design Assurance.
2. Implementation of a Project Quality Management System (PQMS) in accordance with the requirements of ISO 9001:2015 and contract requirements.
3. Manage the delivery of quality objectives by providing leadership and direction to team members.
4. Preparation and implementation of the Project Quality Plan (PQP).
5. Lead the implementation of the project quality requirements in accordance with the PQP and contract.
6. Ensure all project team members at all locations are aware of the PQP and meet its requirements.
7. Implement and manage the Risk Based Audit Program to monitor adherence and identify improvement to the PQMS, to include supplier and subcontractors’ audits as required.
8. Monitor and independently report to the Project Manager on the effectiveness of the PQMS.
9. Identify and resolve deviations from project requirements and ensure that systems and procedures are established to avoid recurrence.
10. Monitor the application and effectiveness of the PQMS and provide recommendations for the management review.
11. Establish and report on project quality Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
12. Manage the project quality induction program.
13. Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and project specifications.
14. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to address quality issues and drive continuous improvement.
15. Develop and maintain quality documentation, including procedures, work instructions, and quality records.
16. Lead quality training and awareness programs for project team members.

1. Implement corrective and preventive actions to address quality issues and prevent reoccurrence.
2. Coordinate with third-party quality assurance teams to ensure project compliance.
3. Manage supplier quality and conduct supplier audits as necessary.
4. Facilitate internal and external quality reviews to gather feedback and improve processes.
5. Drive a culture of quality excellence and continuous improvement throughout the project team.
6. Stay updated on industry best practices and incorporate them into the project's quality management system.
7. Provide guidance and support to project team members on quality-related matters.
8. Ensure that all project deliverables meet client expectations and quality standards.
9. Lead root cause analysis investigations for quality incidents and develop action plans for resolution.
10. Conduct risk assessments related to quality and implement risk mitigation strategies.

1. Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
2. Proven experience as a Quality Manager in the EPCM industry, preferably in feed design projects.
3. Strong knowledge of quality management principles, tools, and techniques.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Certification in quality management (e.g., Six Sigma, ISO 9001) is preferred.
6. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

A Quality Manager is responsible for ensuring that products, processes, and services meet established quality standards, driving continuous improvement, and maintaining customer satisfaction. Below are the essential skills for this role:

Technical Skills

1. Quality Management Systems (QMS):
   • Expertise in ISO standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
   • Implementation and maintenance of QMS.
2. Auditing:
   • Conducting internal and external audits.
   • Familiarity with standards like AS9100, IATF 16949, or similar, depending on the industry.
3. Process Improvement:
   • Proficiency in methodologies like Six Sigma, Lean, and Kaizen.
   • Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Corrective Action/Preventive Action (CAPA).
4. Data Analysis:
   • Analyzing quality metrics and KPIs using tools like Excel, Minitab, or Power BI.
   • Statistical Process Control (SPC).

   • Identifying and mitigating risks using FMEA, Fault Tree Analysis, or similar methods.
6. Supplier Quality Management:
   • Evaluating and auditing suppliers.
   • Developing supplier quality standards and ensuring compliance.
7. Compliance and Regulation:
   • Ensuring adherence to regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, CE marking, GMP).
   • Managing certification and regulatory inspections.
