An Air Freight Coordinator is responsible for managing the transportation of goods by air. They work closely with clients, freight forwarders, and carriers to ensure the successful and timely delivery of goods. The Coordinator should have a good understanding of air freight operations, including cargo handling, customs clearance, and documentation. They should be able to effectively coordinate shipments, track and trace deliveries, and communicate with all stakeholders throughout the process.
Responsibilities
Coordinate air freight shipments with clients and freight forwarders.
Book air cargo space and arrange for pick-up and delivery.
Ensure proper packaging and labeling of shipments.
Prepare and complete shipping documentation.
Coordinate with customs authorities for clearance of goods.
Track and trace shipments to provide updates to clients.
Resolve any issues or delays that may occur during transportation.
Ensure compliance with regulations and security procedures.
Minimum Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent.
Proven experience in air freight coordination or a similar role.
Knowledge of airfreight operations and regulations.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
