Requirements

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Buyer for Piping Products to manage the procurement of piping materials and equipment in alignment with company objectives. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing piping products, ensuring quality, cost efficiency, and timely delivery.

Responsibilities:

1. Strategy & Planning: Design and implement procurement strategies aligned with company goals. Analyze markets to identify cost-saving opportunities and set budgets with cost control.
2. Vendor Management: Select, onboard, and maintain relationships with reliable suppliers. Negotiate contracts, evaluate performance, and ensure compliance with quality, delivery, and pricing standards.
3. Purchase Orders: Manage the procurement cycle, including requisitions, approvals, and deliveries, ensuring accurate documentation and collaboration with internal teams.
4. Cost & Compliance: Negotiate cost reductions, implement savings initiatives, monitor spending, and ensure adherence to company policies and regulations.
5. Inventory & Logistics: Coordinate with inventory teams to optimize stock levels and streamline shipments, imports, and exports.
6. Process Improvement: Enhance procurement efficiency with automation, generate KPI reports, and present findings to management.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field; procurement certifications (e.g., CIPS, CSCP) preferred.
2. 5+ years in purchasing/procurement, focusing on piping products in oil & gas, energy, or construction.
3. Knowledge of ASME, ASTM, API, ISO standards, and ERP systems like SAP or Oracle.
4. Expertise in piping materials/specifications, supply chain processes, vendor management, and logistics.
5. Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
6. Effective communication, organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
7. Proactive and self-motivated.
