We are currently seeking a Material Supplies Execution Associate for one of our very well-known clients, to be based in their Dubai office.

Job Purpose:

  • Support coordination, demand, and fulfillment of all critical material flow (including from/to external vendors, Commercial Spares, and within the repair and overhaul network) according to production schedules for success of the company On Wing Support of the business.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Material fulfillment function including managing critical logistics activities, liaison with freight forwarders, preparation of gate passes, communicating with external vendors and the company’s MRO network. Work for quick resolution to support OWS site with strong sense of urgency. Put away and pull materials in alignment with production plan and KPIs. Ensure parts are stored as per Quality requirements to prevent damage and contamination.
  • Practice effective inventory management strategy that assures site inventory levels are kept at lean levels which still support shop operations. Assist with regular cycle counts. Helps manage inventory and participate in process improvements initiatives.
  • Create order demand in SAP including creation/duplication of internal material demand with both internal and external sources. Use discretion on bulk ordering to decrease number of POs issued and number of packages to receive. Order consumables as well as execute indirect sourcing via SSS (i.e., shop and office supplies).
  • Assist with Gate 2 processes (repair and kitting cycle) through liaison with technicians, production and planning team. Unpackage incoming shipments, assist with receiving aviation materials in site ERP, prepare outgoing packages for shipment, including creation of shipping labels with various shipping companies. Physically prep assets to ship and receive (i.e., direct material, indirect material, tooling, consumables). Verifies that all incoming and outgoing parts/ materials/ components comply with local and GE Aviation quality system standards.
  • Visually examine materials and accompanying paperwork for defects and sort articles according to extent of defect. Accurately identify part numbers, serial numbers, and quantities and assure all match the accompanying paperwork.
  • Physically dispose of Scrap hardware and/or low demand/obsolete inventory.
  • Understand import/export/ITC requirements. Create Commercial invoices for parts/tools/materials coming into or going out of the facility.
  • Comply with Safety requirements, complete training per schedule, participate in investigations and read-across as requested, promptly identify safety issues, work with team to pursue solutions, and escalate issues.
  • Participate in assessments, read across and PFMEAs to identify and understand sources of defects. Promptly identify and escalate risks to leadership and work with team on solutions.
  • Participate in LEAN events and apply learnings to daily activity. Apply and improve upon standard work in area of responsibility. Identify sources of waste and Customer dissatisfaction, escalate to leadership team and work among the team to find solutions.
  • To perform any additional tasks assigned for the role.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of SAP ERP system, specifically the “Materials Module” would be a valuable skill. Ability to demonstrate required knowledge of the ERP to ensure compliance with company materials processes and maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Approaches work with a “can-do” attitude and a sense of commitment to both the team and customer objectives.
  • Possess a desire to learn and grow with technology advancements and new engine models.
  • Features strong interpersonal and leadership skills, including problem-solving ability.
  • Holds previous Materials and Inventory experience and international field experience.
  • Knowledge of import, export, Customs, and dangerous goods requirements.
  • Proven experience in leading initiatives of moderate scope and impact.
  • Availability to work flexible shift patterns as required, including nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Ability and willingness to support calls during off-hours when emergency situations arise.
  • Must be physically fit to lift up to 50 pounds.
