School Nurse - Al Ain, UAE

We are trying to find an experienced school registered nurse to join our institution. Your main obligation will be to provide health services to students when they are at school. For example, you'll deal with injuries and mild to intense illness, or support students with chronic diseases. You'll also assist with preventive care by educating students on how to avoid transmissible conditions and maintaining proper hygiene.

To succeed in this role, you need to have excellent organizational skills and the ability to communicate with children, their parents or guardians, and teachers. If you meet these requirements and have a genuine interest in improving children's lives, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities

1. Provide basic medical care to students in case of injury or acute illness.
2. Establish health plans for students with chronic illnesses and disabilities.
3. Educate students and staff on healthy behaviors, such as proper nutrition and hygiene.
4. Detect health issues in early stages through regular screenings.
5. Maintain track of students' vaccination records.
6. Update students' medical history.
7. Ensure school environment is safe for children and school staff (e.g., prevention of communicable diseases).
8. Write referrals for doctors and other health professionals.
9. Ensure compliance with national and local health regulations.
