The Treasury is responsible for managing the financial operations of the holding company and its subsidiaries, ensuring the effective management of cash flow, liquidity, and financial risk. The role includes overseeing funding strategies, cash management, intercompany financing, and optimizing working capital across the group.
Key Responsibilities:
Cash and Liquidity Management:
Oversee the daily cash management process, ensuring sufficient liquidity is available to meet operational and strategic needs.
Manage and forecast the group's cash flow position, including short-term, medium-term, and long-term cash requirements.
Monitor cash balances across the group and optimize cash utilization.
Work with subsidiaries to ensure proper cash management and liquidity coordination.
Banking Relationships:
Develop and maintain relationships with banking institutions to secure favorable terms for credit facilities, loans, and bank accounts.
Negotiate and manage group-wide banking arrangements, ensuring compliance with group financial policies.
Evaluate and select new banking partners, as required, to support business objectives.
Funding and Financing:
Oversee the group’s funding strategies, ensuring access to appropriate financing methods, including debt issuance, working capital facilities, and intercompany financing.
Coordinate the group's borrowing activities, ensuring compliance with financial covenants.
Develop long-term financial planning and funding strategies in collaboration with senior management.
Risk Management:
Identify and manage financial risks, including currency exchange risk, interest rate risk, and liquidity risk.
Implement hedging strategies where appropriate to mitigate exposure to financial risks.
Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and group financial policies regarding risk management.
Investment Management:
Monitor and manage the group's investments, ensuring optimal returns while maintaining liquidity and risk controls.
Evaluate investment opportunities and recommend strategies to maximize returns for the group.
Intercompany Financing and Treasury Operations:
Oversee the management of intercompany loans and cash transfers across subsidiaries.
Ensure proper funding and cash allocation across business units and subsidiaries within the holding group.
Provide treasury services to subsidiaries, including liquidity support and financial strategy advice.
Reporting and Analysis:
Provide regular reporting on cash flow, liquidity, funding activities, and financial risk management to senior management.
Prepare treasury reports for the board and financial stakeholders, including financial forecasts and budget comparisons.
Develop and maintain treasury policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure proper governance of treasury operations.
Compliance and Regulation:
Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, laws, and group policies.
Maintain accurate records of treasury transactions and financial positions to meet internal and external audit requirements.
Skills and Qualifications:
Education: A degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. Professional qualifications (e.g., CFA, CTP, or MBA) are a plus.
Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in treasury management, finance, or accounting, with at least 2-3 years in a senior treasury role, preferably within a holding group or multinational company.
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of treasury operations, cash management, and financial risk management.
Experience with financial modeling and cash flow forecasting.
Familiarity with ERP systems and treasury management software.
Advanced Excel skills and financial reporting software.
Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with senior executives and external stakeholders.
Analytical Skills: Strong financial analysis and problem-solving skills.
