Junior Cake Artist

We are looking for a Junior Cake Artist who will assist in designing, baking, and decorating cakes and pastries to the highest standards. This role requires experience with French pastry techniques, a passion for creativity, and an eye for detail. You will work closely with our Senior Cake Artist to ensure that each creation meets the Atelier Choulisse standard of excellence.

Responsibilities:

1. Assist in the preparation and decoration of cakes, pastries, and mini desserts.
2. Utilize French pastry techniques in creating fillings, sponges, and confections.
3. Design and execute intricate decorations, including piping, molding, and fondant work.
4. Help develop new flavors and designs that align with seasonal trends and client preferences.
5. Ensure consistency in quality, presentation, and taste across all baked goods.
6. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all food safety and hygiene standards and ensuring effective stock management.
7. Collaborate with the team to fulfill custom orders and special event requirements.
8. Adhere to company procedures in regard to temperature checks, food labeling and dating, cleaning schedules, and hygiene regulations at all times, ensuring that all records of such are maintained.

Skills & Qualifications:

1. Extensive knowledge of baking and pastry-making techniques.
2. Previous experience in the luxury industry is a must.
3. Ability to combine different flavors with a Middle Eastern approach.
4. Time management: Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
5. Attention to Detail: Ability to work meticulously to achieve perfect finishes.
6. Experience baking with ingredient limitations (gluten-free).
7. Knowledge of POS systems, including following orders received from delivery platforms.
8. Excellent communication skills & ability to work in a team.
9. Creativity & innovative approach.
