Keeps the General Manager informed of all security related matters. Depending on distribution of Fire Security responsibility, coordinates with the Director of Engineering.
Liaises with Management personnel and all employees to assist with security problems and loss control.
Liaises with local law enforcement and Fire & Safety officials.
Maintains proper grooming at all times.
Attends training classes as per schedule.
Shows fullest cooperation and respect within the team and other departments.
Is aware of daily activities and has product knowledge of all hotel facilities.
Reviews, revises, and updates Security procedures as necessary.
Develops job descriptions for all Security staff.
Trains all employees in security responsibilities.
Trains Security employees in all hotel regulations and factors affecting hotel operations, including fire prevention, safety procedures, basic firefighting, life-saving techniques, preservation of crime scene and evidence, actions in crisis situations, report writing, public relations, and psychology.
Supervises the daily processing and distribution of security reports to Management.
Prepares monthly major incident reports and annual security survey reports to submit to the General Manager.
Keeps all records and reports concerning security matters and hotel businesses confidential.
Attends and participates in Safety & Security meetings and other staff meetings as determined by the General Manager.
Is fully trained and prepared for all emergency situations as per procedures.
Reviews internal policies & procedures regularly to ensure the highest level of efficiency and security, making recommendations to Management when policy changes are required.
Coordinates with the engineering department to conduct regular preventive maintenance of all safety equipment.
Supervises all employees locking in with the proximity card reader located at the security post at the staff entrance.
Strictly controls the in and out of contractors, visitors, and suppliers, issuing and controlling visitor passes.
Conducts frequent control and supervision of all security posts, including the CCTV room.
Coordinates with the Engineering and Rooms division.
Ensures all staff is thoroughly familiar with the hotel's emergency procedures and is prepared for any emergency that may occur.
Executes regular technical/skills training and is responsible for setting up and maintaining ongoing training programs in conjunction with Human Resources & L&D Manager.
Reviews Duty Manager/Night Manager book daily and takes corrective action when security is concerned.
Reviews the Security logbook daily and takes action if needed, informing the General Manager.
Maintains a monthly overview of vacation and public holiday balance of all security staff and delivers a monthly consolidated summary to the Director of HR.
Is familiar with all related company documentation, especially the relevant Operational Standards Manual for his/her field of responsibility.
Establishes and keeps updating the emergency manual with appropriate procedures and forms.
In coordination with the Director of Engineering, prepares a comprehensive fire & safety manual and trains existing employees and newcomers regularly, including live fire drills.
Conducts skills/technical training within his/her area of responsibility regularly.
Maintains a very close relationship with the Police and Fire department, making regular courtesy visits.

Initiates Fire Fighting Training in coordination with local authorities (Fire Brigade) regularly for all hotel departments.
Maintains a monthly overview of vacation and public holiday balance of all staff and delivers a monthly consolidated summary to the Director of HR.
Is familiar with all related company documentation, especially the relevant Operational Standards Manual for his/her field of responsibility.
Assumes responsibility of Duty Manager when scheduled to do so.
Other duties as assigned.
Special:
Assists in Task Force Teams for new openings.
Carries out any other reasonable task (which may not be stated here) as requested.
Qualifications:
University Degree in Security / Law Enforcement. Minimum of 3 years in a similar role with a five-star hotel, preferably in the UAE. Team management skills, computer skills, and excellent communication skills are required.
