Position Overview: We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to strengthen our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in accounting, with specific expertise in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). With 5-6 years of experience in accounting or a related field, the Senior Accountant will play a critical role in financial reporting, analysis, and ensuring compliance with IFRS standards. This position is key to our continued growth and success, offering the opportunity to lead initiatives and contribute significantly to our financial strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS standards.
2. Ensure timely financial reporting and analysis for management decision-making.
3. Lead the implementation and maintenance of accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with IFRS and other applicable regulations.
4. Manage and mentor a team of accountants, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
5. Coordinate and lead the annual audit process, liaising with external auditors.
6. Oversee tax planning and compliance activities, including the timely and accurate filing of VAT and corporate tax returns, while ensuring full compliance with UAE tax regulations.
7. Analyze financial information to identify trends, advise on business decisions, and forecast financial outcomes.
8. Enhance and implement financial and accounting systems, processes, tools, and control systems.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master's degree or professional accounting designation (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is preferred.
2. 5-6 years of proven accounting experience, with extensive knowledge of IFRS standards.
3. Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
4. Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, especially Excel.
5. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
7. Demonstrated understanding of UAE corporate tax laws and regulations, as well as proficiency in UAE VAT compliance.
