Position Overview

The E-commerce Manager will drive the growth of our online ticketing platforms. Through experience and innovation, he/she will oversee all aspects of e-commerce operations, working closely with the Head of Marketing and E-commerce, as well as with other teams to optimize customer journeys and maximize revenue. This role requires a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach and a passion for digital innovation.

Roles and Responsibility

  1. E-Commerce Operations:
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the e-commerce channels, including the website and mobile app, ensuring seamless functionality and an optimal user experience.
  • Collaborate with the product and IT teams to implement improvements, resolve issues, and introduce new features for enhanced performance.
  • Manage relationships with third-party ticketing platforms and ensure alignment with brand and revenue goals.
  • Work with the marketing team to design and implement integrated campaigns that drive traffic to digital channels.
  • Support SEO, SEM, and performance marketing efforts by ensuring landing pages and content align with campaign goals.
  • Performance Optimization:
    • Develop and execute strategies to drive ticket sales and increase conversion rates across all e-commerce platforms.
    • Conduct ongoing analysis of website and app performance, leveraging analytics tools to identify opportunities for improvement.
    • Lead A/B testing initiatives to optimize the customer journey and increase engagement.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Support the organization’s representation at events and forums related to passenger train services and e-commerce.
  • Customer Focus:
    • Monitor customer feedback and behavior to refine the digital experience and improve customer satisfaction.
    • Implement tools to collect and analyze customer data.
  • Performance Tracking and Reporting:
    • Track e-commerce performance metrics, preparing regular updates for the Head of Marketing and E-Commerce and other relevant stakeholders.
    • Assist in analyzing data to identify trends, address performance gaps, and optimize strategies.
    • Ensure that budgets are adhered to during project execution.

    Desirable Qualifications, Skills and Experience

    Academic Qualifications:

    Bachelor’s degree in a digital related field. A master’s degree is a plus.

    Experience and Other Skills:

    • 5+ years of experience in e-commerce roles, preferably in transportation, aviation, or related industries.
    • Demonstrated experience in managing e-commerce platforms for a digital-first company.
    • Experience with digital B2C sales channels is mandatory.
    • Familiarity with e-commerce systems and optimization techniques.
    • Strong understanding of customer journey and user experience.
    • Strong organizational and project management skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
    • Analytical mindset with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
    • Understanding of the local market dynamics in the UAE.
