Pinnacle American School is looking to recruit an outstanding full-time Classroom Teacher for a January 2025 start.

Job Title: Classroom Teacher

School: Pinnacle American School, Abu Dhabi- Western Region

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated classroom Teacher to join our team in January 2025, teaching the class in alignment with the California Common Core Standards. The ideal candidate will have experience working with English as an Additional Language (EAL) learners, fostering a supportive and engaging classroom environment that promotes scientific inquiry and critical thinking.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons, aligned with the California Common Core Standards.
2. Develop lesson plans and instructional materials tailored to meet the needs of EAL students.
3. Use a variety of teaching strategies to make the subjects accessible and exciting for all learners.
4. Integrate hands-on experiments, project-based learning, and technology to enhance understanding.
5. Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to students and parents.
6. Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary units and ensure alignment with school goals.
7. Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages respect and curiosity.

Qualifications and Skills:

1. Bachelor's degree in Education (Master's degree preferred).
2. Teaching certification, with experience in American curriculum schools.
3. Proven experience teaching EAL learners and differentiating instruction effectively.
4. Strong knowledge of the California Common Core Standards in Science.
5. Excellent communication, classroom management, and organizational skills.
6. Non-native English speakers must have proof of TOEFL certification or an IELTS score of 7.0+.
7. Teacher license in home country.
8. Evidence of a minimum of two years teaching experience.
