Role Purpose
The assistant buyer is responsible for working closely with vendors, maintaining positive relationships while negotiating pricing and deadlines. He/She must be able to work independently and prioritize job duties, as well as place and track purchase orders. The Assistant Buyer is accountable for ensuring all materials are purchased on time, negotiating with suppliers, building long-term relationships, and keeping track of market trends.
