An IT Infrastructure and Technical Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the successful implementation of IT infrastructure and Network security projects. This role requires a strong technical background combined with excellent project management skills. The manager will work closely with various stakeholders, including IT teams, business units, and vendors, to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the desired quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning and Management: Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, timeline, budget, and resource allocation. Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies. Facilitate communication and collaboration among project team members and stakeholders. Ensure adherence to project methodologies and best practices.
Technical Expertise: Possess a deep understanding of IT infrastructure and network security components, including networks, servers, storage, and security. Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends. Provide technical guidance and support to project teams.
Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including business executives, IT leadership, and vendors. Effectively communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders. Manage expectations and resolve conflicts.
Resource Management: Allocate and manage project resources, including personnel, budget, and equipment. Optimize resource utilization and minimize costs.
Quality Assurance: Ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards and comply with organizational guidelines. Conduct quality reviews and audits.
Risk Management: Identify and assess project risks. Develop and implement risk mitigation plans. Monitor and manage risks throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
PMP certification or equivalent project management qualification.
Proven experience in managing IT infrastructure and Network security projects.
Strong technical knowledge of networking, server administration, and security.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
