Position: Consultant Neonatologist - Qatar

Overview

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Consultant Neonatologist to join our prestigious hospital in Qatar. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in neonatal medicine and possess exceptional clinical and leadership skills.

As a Consultant Neonatologist, you will play a crucial role in providing specialized care to premature and critically ill newborns, and work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients. You will also be responsible for providing guidance and supervision to junior doctors and medical staff within the Neonatology department.

Key Responsibilities

1. Provide specialized care to newborns with a wide range of medical conditions, including premature births, respiratory distress, infections, and birth defects.
2. Perform thorough assessments and provide accurate diagnoses for newborns.
3. Design and implement individualized treatment plans for newborns, in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
4. Supervise and mentor junior doctors and medical staff within the Neonatology department.
5. Develop and maintain strong working relationships with parents and families, providing them with support and education regarding their child's condition.
6. Participate in research activities and publications within the field of neonatology.
7. Keep up to date with current developments and advancements in neonatal medicine through attending conferences and continuous education programs.

Qualifications

1. Medical degree from an accredited medical school.
2. Completion of residency in Pediatrics and fellowship in Neonatology.
3. Valid Board Certification in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine.
4. Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Consultant Neonatologist.
5. Proven experience in managing complex neonatal cases.
6. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
7. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and multicultural environment.
8. Must be Western-trained.
