UI, UX DESIGNER | ICT & IT SECURITY

The UI/UX Designer is part of the Enterprise Applications IT team and will be responsible for creating and prototyping user interfaces and experiences to support our digital initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or similar software, and be capable of developing comprehensive visual prototypes.

As a UI/UX Designer, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality user interfaces and experiences. You will conduct quality assurance (QA) to ensure design consistency and verify compliance with branding and accessibility guidelines. Your role will be crucial in visually conveying application designs before development begins, and you will contribute to the continuous improvement of our digital landscape.

Job Responsibilities

1. Design and prototype user interfaces and experiences for web and mobile applications.
2. Create animations and interactions to convey interactivity, ensuring the software is responsive and intuitive.
3. Develop UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate both the functionality and appearance of the software.
4. Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and UX maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.
5. Build interactive prototypes to give stakeholders and developers an early vision of the product.
6. Collaborate with stakeholders to define and implement innovative solutions for product direction, visuals, and user experience.
7. Co-develop personas and user flows that represent the user journey and product interactions.
8. Develop design systems and libraries to ensure consistency across the software.
9. Conduct usability testing to evaluate prototypes and software, identify areas of usability friction, and provide actionable recommendations.
10. Perform UI/UX QA on the final product to ensure design consistency and functionality.
11. Ensure that developed software adheres to branding and accessibility guidelines.
12. Maintain a consistent look and feel across all platforms, following branding and accessibility guidelines.
13. Conduct user research and analyze user feedback to improve design and overall user experience.
14. Stay up to date with the latest UI/UX trends, techniques, and technologies, and update existing experiences accordingly.

Qualifications and Skills Required

1. Bachelor's degree in a related field: Design, Computer Science.
2. 5 or more years of experience in designing mobile and web applications/websites.
3. Proven work experience as a UI/UX Designer or in a similar role.
4. Strong portfolio showcasing your UI/UX design work.
5. Proficiency in design software such as Sketch, Figma, or similar tools.
6. Deep understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices.
7. Excellent English communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.
8. Strong attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

1. Professional certification in user experience-related technologies or subjects.
2. Three or more years of professional experience in higher education.
3. Experience with HTML and CSS is a plus.
