Job description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Minimum Overall 10+ years of oil & gas experience.
  • Must have at least 3 to 5 years experience working in Gas Processing and Gas Compression projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering is a MUST.
  • FEED experience is a must.
  • PMC & ADNOC experience is an added advantage.
  • GCC experience required.
  • An HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) Engineer is responsible for ensuring the safety and environmental integrity of a workplace or project. Below are the key skills required for this role:

Technical Skills

  • Regulatory Knowledge:
    • Familiarity with local and international HSE regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA, ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
    • Knowledge of industry-specific standards (e.g., NEBOSH, NFPA, API).
  • Risk Assessment:
    • Conducting hazard identification and risk analysis (HIRA).
    • Proficiency in techniques like HAZOP (Hazard and Operability Study) and FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis).
  • Incident Investigation:
    • Analyzing root causes using tools like RCA (Root Cause Analysis) or 5 Whys.
    • Developing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Emergency Preparedness:
    • Creating and implementing emergency response plans.
    • Conducting drills and simulations.
  • Environmental Management:
    • Waste management and pollution control.
    • Understanding of environmental impact assessments.
  • Safety Systems and Tools:
    • Experience with personal protective equipment (PPE) selection and use.
    • Use of safety management systems (SMS).
  • Project Management:
    • Integrating HSE considerations into project life cycles.
    • Monitoring HSE KPIs.
  • Attention to Detail:
    • Identifying potential hazards and unsafe conditions.
  • Communication:
    • Preparing clear and concise HSE reports.
    • Conducting safety training and awareness programs for employees.
  • Leadership:
    • Guiding teams to comply with HSE policies.
    • Building a culture of safety within the organization.
  • Problem-Solving:
    • Responding effectively to safety incidents and challenges.

Desired Candidate Profile

  3. OSHA Certification.
  4. ISO 45001 Lead Auditor.
  5. Environmental certifications (e.g., ISO 14001 Lead Auditor).

Tools and Technologies

  1. Safety and environmental monitoring equipment (e.g., gas detectors, noise meters).
  2. HSE management software (e.g., Intelex, Enablon).
  3. Incident reporting and risk management tools.
  4. Microsoft Office Suite for documentation and reporting.
