Associate Legal Counsel - Arabic Speaker

Our client, a leading organization in Abu Dhabi, is seeking an experienced Associate Legal Counsel with a minimum of 7 years of work experience post-qualification. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working with top-tier organizations or law firms in the UAE. This role requires a dynamic legal professional fluent in English and Arabic who can provide corporate legal support, manage contracts, and assist the Senior Legal Counsel and General Counsel with various tasks.

Key Responsibilities

1. Provide corporate legal support to the company’s corporate teams.
   
2. Manage and administer the company’s contracts.
   
3. Contribute to the development of a legal and regulatory strategy to ensure ongoing compliance with applicable regulations and laws.
   
4. Develop, review, and negotiate agreements, contracts, and relevant legal documentation for corporate and business functions.
   
5. Assist in delivering legal training programs for the company.
   
6. Manage and report legal spend related to deals, new projects, joint ventures, etc., ensuring accurate reporting to the General Counsel for efficient platform-level legal budget management.
   

Requirements

Education

1. Bachelor’s degree in Law from an internationally reputable university.
   
2. Admission to practice in the UAE or an internationally recognized jurisdiction.
   

Experience and Skills

1. Minimum 7 years of work experience post-qualification.
   
2. Fluent in English and Arabic (mandatory).
   
3. Proven ability to negotiate and structure effective agreements and contracts.
   
4. Strong commercial awareness and business acumen.
   
5. Proven ability to advise and guide management teams on legal issues with an emphasis on enabling business growth while managing risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
   
6. Excellent interpersonal skills to create and maintain productive working relationships.
   
7. Demonstrated ability to identify and analyze complex corporate legal issues.
   
8. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
   
9. Highly motivated, results-oriented, and capable of managing projects effectively.
   
10. Ability to work collaboratively within a team under time constraints.
